Zillow Showcase Cost (2026): What Agents Actually Pay

Short answer

Zillow does not publish a price for Showcase. It bills the listing agent or brokerage, not the seller, and the cost depends on your market, the home's price, your brokerage's deal with Zillow and how many listings you buy. Agents report quotes from roughly $300 to over $1,000 per listing, and Showcase media (photos, virtual tour, interactive floor plan) can add to that. The only reliable number is a written quote from Zillow or your brokerage (checked October 2026).

How Zillow Showcase pricing works

Showcase is Zillow's premium listing format. On its Showcase page for agents, Zillow describes what you get: elevated listing design and branding, priority placement in search and map results, and dedicated email alerts to buyers. Showcase listings need their own media: Zillow's getting-started guide says the requirements include HD photos, a virtual tour and an interactive floor plan, captured by photographers with specific equipment and training. Since September 2025, Showcase listings also carry Zillow's AI Virtual Staging, which shoppers use to restyle selected room photos while they browse.

Each Showcase listing uses a Showcase credit. How you pay for credits varies:

Two costs people forget. First, the media: if your usual photographer can't produce Showcase media, you'll book a Zillow Media Expert or a Showcase-ready photographer, billed separately from the listing. Second, availability: HousingWire reports that Zillow generally caps Showcase at about 10% of active listings in a market, so in some areas the question is whether you can get a slot at all.

Is it worth it?

Zillow's agent page (checked October 2026) makes three claims: active Showcase listings get over 75% more page views, saves and shares than similar nearby non-Showcase listings; agents who use Showcase on most of their listings win 35% more listings than similar non-Showcase agents; and Showcase listings sell for 2%, or about $7,000, more on average. These are Zillow's figures about its own product, with no published methodology, and the listings and agents who choose Showcase may differ from those who don't. Treat them as a vendor claim, not a forecast for your listing.

A practical test: compare the quote with 2% of the expected sale price, and ask whether this listing really needs more attention on Zillow. Showcase has the most to offer on higher-priced homes in markets where buyers search Zillow first, and the least on a well-priced home that will sell quickly anyway. The presentation also stays on Zillow; it doesn't travel to your MLS listing, other portals or social posts.

The independent alternative for the visuals

If what you want from Showcase is better listing visuals (staged empty rooms, decluttered photos, a dusk exterior), you can make those yourself and use them everywhere, including on Zillow through your MLS feed. SofaBrain's virtual staging, declutter and day to dusk tools cost 1 credit per photo, usually take under a minute, and a free account gets 3 credits (pricing). It doesn't buy you Showcase's placement on Zillow; it gives you the visual part as files you own. See SofaBrain vs Zillow Virtual Staging.

Whoever creates your altered listing photos, you are responsible for disclosing them under your MLS and state rules (for example California AB 723). See our disclosure language guide.

Frequently asked questions

Does the seller pay for Zillow Showcase?

Zillow bills the agent or brokerage, not the seller. Some agents absorb it as a marketing cost, while others include it in a premium marketing package agreed in the listing agreement. If you're selling, ask your agent whether Showcase is included and whether any of the cost is passed on to you.

How much is Zillow Showcase per listing?

Zillow doesn't publish a price. Reported quotes run from about $300 to over $1,000 per listing depending on the market, the home's price and the contract, and brokerage deals can be lower. Get a written quote from Zillow or your brokerage, and budget separately for Showcase media.

Is there a pay-at-closing option for Showcase?

We could not find one in Zillow's published materials (checked October 2026). Showcase listings use credits bought through a subscription, per listing through Zillow Pro, or through a brokerage deal. Zillow's pay-at-closing model belongs to its lead program, Zillow Preferred, which is a different product.

Does Zillow Showcase include virtual staging?

Yes, in a specific form. Since September 2025, Showcase listings have an AI Virtual Staging feature that lets shoppers restyle selected room photos inside Zillow. It is a buyer-side, interactive feature, not a set of staged image files you can upload to your MLS or use in your own marketing.

Can I get staged photos without paying for Showcase?

Yes. Stage, declutter and enhance your own photos with an independent tool and publish them everywhere, including Zillow through your MLS. Label virtually staged photos and keep the originals, as your MLS and state rules require.
