How we research, review, and publish every article on this site.

Our editorial standards

  • Primary sources for every claim. Statute text, MLS knowledge-base URLs, NAR ethics opinions, and E&O carrier policy filings are linked from the “Sources” section on every long-form article. We do not paraphrase secondary reporting without finding the original.
  • Dated and re-reviewed. Every article carries a “Last reviewed” date. Articles touching evolving statutes (CA AB 723, WI Act 69, MLS rule updates) are reviewed at least quarterly.
  • Topic-area review. Compliance articles are reviewed by our Compliance Desk; design articles by our Staging Design Team. Each desk is a small pool of practising specialists (realtors, brokers, real-estate photographers, interior designers) who work with our customers.
  • No legal advice. SofaBrain Inc. is not a law firm. Compliance articles summarise our research and link to primary sources; for specific situations, consult an attorney licensed in your state.
  • No undisclosed AI authorship. Our team uses AI tools to draft, summarise, and check internal consistency. Every article is reviewed and edited by a human team member before publication. We disclose when a render or image was AI-generated.
